Boiled Frosting

Ingredients
  • 2 Large egg whites
  • 1 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • 1/8 tsp Cream of Tartar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
Instructions
  1. Whip egg whites until stiff. Meanwhile combine sugar, water, and cream of tartar in a sauce pan and heat to boiling. Continue boiling until the syrup appears stringy when pouring off a spoon.

  2. Continue stirring the egg whites while gradually adding the boiling syrup to the egg whites. Continue whipping while adding the vanilla.
