Cranberry Orange Walnut Relish

Description

One of my Mom’s staple for Thanksgiving since about 2000. She found it in the local newspaper around that same year, and it was one of the last condiments she wanted to make - she asked for her food grinder back for it.

Ingredients
  • 12 oz fresh cranberries
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 whole orange (washed, quartered, and seeded)
  • 3/4 cup walnuts (coarsely chopped)
  • 2 whole apples (washed and cored)
Instructions
  1. Run cranberries, orange (peel on) and apples (peel on) through a food grinder.
    Stir in sugar and nuts.
    Cover tightly. Refrigerate at least 12 hours before serving. Will keep refrigerated for up
    to 2 weeks.
    Yield: 2 1/2 cups.
