(Cabbage and Potato Dumplings)
Saute chopped onion in shortening. Add cabbage and seasonings. Cover and fry over low heat until tender
Grate potatoes. Add egg, seasonings, and flour. If dough stiff, add a little water. Drop by 1/2 teaspoon into boiling water. Boil until dumplings come to top, about 10 minutes. Drain and rinse with warm water. Mix with cabbage mixture.
