Raisin Rum Creams

Ingredients
    For the cookies
  • 1 cup seedless raisins
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1.5 cup sifted confectioners sugar (Substituting 1.5 cups non-corn confectioners sugar)
  • 2 tbsp Rum
  • 1 tbsp Vanilla (Extract)
  • 3 cup Sifted flour
  • 1.5 tsp salt
  • 2-3 tbsp Half and Half
  • Icing
  • 2 cup confectioner's sugar (Substitute, I'm guessing on unit - not specified)
  • 2 tsp vanilla (extract)
  • 1/4 cup Half and Half
Instructions
    For the cookies
  1. Cookie Instruction
    Chop raisins fine. Beat butter, sugar, rum and vanilla until very light. Add raisins and flour resifted with salt. Stir in barely enough half and half or light cream to make a dough easy to roll into balls.
  2. Use 1 Tblsp. of dough for each cookie; shape into balls. Place on ungreased baking sheet. Bake in preheated 350 oven 12 to 15 min, or until set. Ice when cold.
  3. Icing
  4. Beat 2 (cups) sifted conf. sugar, 2 tsp vanilla (extract) and 1/4 cup half and half until mixture is samooth(sic). Divied(sic) in 3 parts and tint each with liquite food coloring.
