  1. Mix mustard powder with cold water.
  2. Let stand 10 minutes.
  3. Stir in vinegar, salt, sugar/honey, and turmeric.
  4. Jar and refrigerate.

Note

Vinegar choice

For a more British flavor, I’d use malt vinegar.
For a cleaner, brighter mustard that pairs well with pretzels and food, use white wine vinegar.
For a slightly rounder homemade flavor, use cider vinegar.
